Companion CD-ROM: xilinx/modelsim-xe directory

The xilinx/modelsim-xe directory contains ModelSim XE (Xilinx Edition) for Microsoft Windows. This software allows you to simulate your Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) designs in software. In other words, using this software, you do not need to have the DSLMU Microcontroller Board physically present to test at least some aspects of your FPGA design.

ModelSim XE forms part of the Xilinx FPGA Tools, which may or may not be required for your work in the Digital Systems Laboratory. Please consult the notes for your UNSW course to see if you need to install this software or not.
