Iceland

Exploring the land of fire and ice.

Visiting Iceland has been on my bucket list for a very long time. Unfortunately the covid pandemic put a halt to my international travel plans for a number of years. Once restrictions were lifted, I took the opportunity to finally visit this rugged and striking destination. Along with two of my friends I circumnavigated the island, taking the classic ring road as well as travelling to some of the lesser visited sights.

It was an amazing two weeks of sightseeing, visiting the many stunning waterfalls, glimpsing steaming volcanoes as well as taking some time out to soak in the thermal hot springs. We had a lot of fun and saw some awesome sights during the long days of summer, even if the weather was cool and most days being overcast. An amazing destination and one that I was glad that I was able to visit.
