★★★☆☆

The Nut Walk ascends to the top of the 143 m high massif of an ancient volcanic plug known as The Nut. This short but challenging track provides some spectacular views of the historic town of Stanley and the surrounding golden beaches and Bass Strait. A chairlift operates at certain times of the year (not on the day I was there) if you find the first section of the track too steep.

The Nut Walk is one of Tasmania's 60 Great Short Walks - the best of Tasmania's day walks.
