Manly Dam is a large tract of bushland containing Sydney’s largest freshwater lake created by the damming of Curl Curl creek in 1892. The surrounding bushland was alive with spring flowers at the time of my visit, making this a very pleasant outing.

The Park Circuit Track is the longest of the walks and circumnavigates the shores of the dam. The topography is a mix of bushland valley and sandstone heathland, making for a variety of vegetation. The walk was easy to follow, with many signposts and information signs, but was quite waterlogged in places after some heavy rains in the week before my walk.
