In continuing with our weekly museum visits, this week my son and I visited the Australian Museum. This is Australia's oldest museum, first opened in 1827 with the aim of procuring 'many rare and curious specimens of Natural History'. Housed at its present location since 1857, the museum holds a vast collection of objects, both cultural and scientific.

My son loved the dinosaur exhibit, as most boys do, as well as the Surviving Australia exhibit, with Australia's myriad of deadly creatures! We both had a great morning at the museum.
