Cardwell Spa is a natural swimming hole, located along the Cardwell Forest Drive (dirt road), near the town Cardwell. The spa is famous for its blue colour, the result of dissolved magnesium and calcium in the waters that comes from underground streams. Water levels fluctuate, but luckilly at the time of my visit, there was plenty of water. Unfortunately with limited time, my group did not stop for a swim, but it was still nice to be able to visit the place.
