This small desert oasis features a spring fed waterhole at the end of a blind valley. The valley has been used by Aboriginals for trapping game and later by pastoralists for keeping cattle. You can still see the remains of cattle yards along the walk, and numerous interpretive signs explain the features of this unique place in central Australia.

My friends and I did this walk in the heart of summer, so the cooling breeze from the waterhole at the end of the valley was very welcome. The track was short enough that we were able to still do this after our much longer walk at Kings Canyon earlier in the day and on quite a hot day.
