★★☆☆☆

The Waterfall Walk is a short track that explores the rainforest and waterfalls of the southern slopes of Mount Wilson. The rainforest was a delight to explore with it's cool and shady greenery, but unfortunately, the waterfalls were not flowing when I visited - not even a trickle! The track is easy to follow and while there are some steps to negotiate, doing the track in a clockwise direction is probably easiest.

There are some very beautiful places to explore in Mount Wilson, including many gardens dotted around the hamlet (entry was $10 per adult for each garden at the time of my visit). A free option is to visit the grounds of St George's Anglican Church, which had some giant tree ferns in front of the church, and a mass of flowers around the church building. Cathedral Reserve and the short loop track of the Cathedral of Ferns is a short drive from the church and is well worth visiting. Free camping is available in the reserve, for those looking for a longer stay to explore more of the area.
