Companion CD-ROM: utils/adobe directory

The utils/adobe directory contains the Adobe Acrobat Reader utility program. You need to use this program (or another PDF viewer) to read documents stored on this CD-ROM in Portable Document Format; such documents are indicated by the [PDF] Portable Document Format icon.

This CD-ROM contains versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader for Linux and for Microsoft Windows. You can find out more about the software from Adobe’s Web site.

Please note that you must read and accept Adobe’s licence agreement before you can run Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you do not wish to agree to this proprietary licence, you may be interested in investigating alternatives like kghostview, xpdf, ggv and gv, all of which run under the Linux operating system.
