This directory, ftp://ftp.zap.org.au/pub/debian, contains packages created
or backported  by the  ZAP Group for  various Debian and  Ubuntu GNU/Linux
distributions.  The following subdirectories are present:

  dists/zapgroup-lenny    - Packages for Debian GNU/Linux 5.0 (Lenny)
  dists/zapgroup-sid      - Packages for Debian GNU/Linux unstable (Sid)

  dists/zapgroup-lucid    - Packages for Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (Lucid Lynx)

The following no-longer-supported subdirectories are also present:

To use these  packages, you need to modify  the file /etc/apt/sources.list
on your local system to include ONE set of the following groups of lines:

You should also download the file "aptkey-zapgroup.asc" and import it into
your APT keylist.  To do this, execute the following commands as root:

  wget -N ftp://ftp.zap.org.au/pub/debian/aptkey-zapgroup.asc
  apt-key add aptkey-zapgroup.asc

Please note that the  package directories "main", "contrib" and "non-free"
follow the definitions given to them by the Debian organisation.  In other
words, packages  in "dists/zagroup-.../main"  may be freely  installed and
copied, packages  in "dists/zapgroup-.../contrib" are free,  but depend on
non-free software, and packages in  non-free are NOT free according to the
definitions contained in the  Debian Free Software Guidelines.  Similarly,
the Ubuntu definition is used for the "restricted" package directories.
